November 9th, 2008:  After a few months down time we're back in the studio, and should be back in the clubs in a month or two. Check back soon for more details.

Monday, July 29th, 2008:  What a strange, dark year it has been for VB. We're still kicking the can, but there's been so many setbacks, and the third CD is still barely started. But we'll be out there soon - thanks for sticking with us.

Monday, March 17th, 2008:  Happy St. Patrick's day! The band is working on new tunes, but Ricky and Jim are also getting ready to pull the covers off their new project:  In The Ashes. First gig is Friday, April 11th at The Neutral Lounge.

Saturday, February 2nd, 2008:   Unfortunately a sudden  illness forced us to bow out of our opening slot at The Black Swan Tavern tonight. Take care - we'll be back soon.

Sunday, January 6th, 2008:   The Retro Rock Lounge gig at the Clarington was a lot of fun. It's always a great night of live surf/instro music at the RRL shows, and we're looking forward to the next one. New pics and more gigs coming soon!

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008:   Happy New Year to all! Vegas Beach hope to be gigging a lot this year, starting this Saturday at the Clarington. There's great food, free parking and no cover, so come on out and catch a wave!

2007

Wednesday, December 12th, 2007:   Hey it's Wavy Davy's birthday! As we head in to the holiday season the band is taking a break to focus on new material, but we're already lining up for more shows in 2008 so stay tuned!

Sunday, September 30th:   The Bronte Village Fall Festival was a perfect day,  and we all had a blast. We're really looking forward to the next two Retro Rock Lounge shows. Stick around for more details.

 Friday, September 21st:  Finally - a few new shows! Vegas Beach is ready to hit the stage again, as part of a series of shows called "The Retro Rock Lounge."  The lovely and talented Siren will be joining us on stage to give us a hand with some of the new material, so don't miss it!

Thursday, September 20th:  Clint Beachwood  featured "Blue Oyster Beach" on his legendary surf radio show "A Day At The Beach" on KCR College Radio,.

 Friday, August 17th:  Ya I kinda suck at this whole "update the website regularly" thing. We haven't been playing out too much lately, but we've written some great new tunes, made some new friends, and there's a few exciting changes that I'll be able to discuss shortly. We're also confirming a series of bigger shows that will be coming up in the next few months, so please stay tuned.

Monday, May 21st: Summer is finally here! The band is tuning up for a few summer gigs, and they're continuing to record songs for the next CD.

Friday, Janaury 12th:  The Savannah Room was REALLY awesome. It's a really nice space to see bands, with a great restaurant in the front. Stay tuned for more shows there soon! Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007: The guys want to wish all of our friends the best for the coming year. We're hoping to be back in the clubs a bit more over the next few months, starting with The Savannah Room in Toronto next Thursday, January 11th. It's a great room so come on out!

Saturday,  December 9th, 2006:  Vegas Beach did a guest spot this afternoon at the Lion Tavern in Port Dalhousie, playing a handful of tunes for a great crowd of instrumental music fans. Look for the boys to do a few more gigs in the Niagara region real soon!

 Saturday, October 28th:  Halloween came early at the Pic, as Vegas Beach joined forces with Dicky Starlight and The Groovy Ghoulies for an awesome night . Stay tuned for more shows coming soon!

Sunday, September 17th:  Vegas Beach are pleased to use this beautiful fall day to announce an exciting distribution deal with Jet Set Sound. Jet Set have a selected a tune or two from Share The Sand to promote for film and television use. More details soon!

Saturday, September 16th: OK, I've been a little slow on the updates, but hey: surf's up, summertime, and all that twang. But the show at the Velodrome was awesome! Surfalicious tunes mixed with fast and furious bike racing at the  shortest and highest bank track in the world, and all for a good cause. We'll be back there soon, so stay tuned and come on out next time.

November 24, 2005:  Another excellent review of the latest CD, this time from the world's longest running rock instrumental magazine The New Gandy Dancer.  NGD's chief editor Davy Peckett calls Share The Sand

October 13, 2005:  A Day At Blue Oyster Beach!  DJ Clint Beachwood featured "Blue Oyster Beach" on his  internationally recognized surf/instrumental show A Day At The Beach, broadcast live on KCR College Radio, 1640 AM from San Diego, California. Clint has played a Vegas Beach track on his last three shows, and had this to say to Ricky about Share The Sand:  

"I just love the sound you guys put out... so cool  and moody, and RICH! It's just incredible. I haven't been this enthused about a CD in quite a while."

June 17, 2005:  CF Radio added 11 Vegas Beach tracks to regular rotation on their "Surf Camp" station, broadcast 24-7 on Live365! Featured tracks from Share The Sand include: "Hip Deep", "Mexican Pipeline", "Gathering Clouds" and "Diamonds And Swamp".  Surf Camp is an awesome station, and it's part of the fight against Cystic Fibrosis by the Boomer Esisason Foundation, so please give them a listen!

June 11, 2005:  Surf radio pioneer DJ Phil Dirt featured a track from Share The Sand  on his internationally famous Saturday night program: Surf's Up!  Phil played "Mexican Pipeline" on his show, which is broadcast on KJFC 89.7 FM from Palo Alto, California, and is also available live on the Internet thru KFJC.org.

June 10, 2005:   Vegas Beach is proud to announce that they've signed a distribution deal with Guitar 9 Records. Guitar 9 is the home of the largest selection of instrumental recordings in the world. 

Ricky says: "We're really excited about this deal, because we're joining forces with a very large and vibrant community of other surf and instrumental artists from around the world. Since its inception nine years ago this organization has been, in many respects, the flagship of international instrumental music scene, and we're truly honored that Share The Sand will be part of the Guitar 9 Catalog. "

May 28, 2005:   The boys from Vegas Beach showed up at the Kona Bikes demo day at Bicycle Works for a meet and greet with the Kona team. Wavy Davy is an avid bike rider and a big fan of Kona, so look for a VB and Kona to join forces this summer in Montreal for a very cool live event! Stay tuned for more info.

September 3rd 2004:  Response to last nights show  was overwhelmingly positive. Thanks so much to crew at  Savage Garden, Dem from Toronto Goth  and of course  fellow dark surf pioneers the Vampire Beach Babes!  More shows to come as the band continues to push ahead with the new album.

February 15th, 2004: Vegas Beach is getting regular play on XM Radio! If you have an XM satellite radio receiver set a preset to Channel 52 to hear tracks from Vegas Beach and some other great independent acts.

February 1st, 2004: Surf music radio legend Phil Dirt has a great (4 star!) review of Dark Side Of The Beach at Reverb Central. Phil is now playing the CD regularly on his show on  KFJC in Los Altos, California.

January 15, 2004: Dark Side Of The Beach receives accolades from the world's longest running rock instrumental magazine The New Gandy Dancer.

December 26, 2003: Yet another great review of  Dark Side, this one courtesy of  Rue Morgue magazine:
